cinematic site-device

The kinetoscope operated on a reel system in pre-cinematic devices. By cranking the reel it would give the illusion that still images were moving, each frame of film illuminated by a light. The films played here usually only lasted a few seconds.

From this concept, I created a version of my own cinematic device in a which a reel of a waving person can be shown by rolling the handles to move the strip. Here in the video I have demonstrated how light and the surrounding sight can pass through one of the frames, rather than limiting the viewer to tune out of their surrounding view as done in the original kinetoscope.
